April 10 – May 10, 2015
Reception: April 10, 6–9 pm
April 10, Park Life Gallery opens Wave Pool, an exhibition of new work by San Francisco based artist Casey Gray. Gray presents a new series of paintings, featuring emoji-like imagery—skulls, pizza slices, money bags, hot dogs, cherries, anchors—rendered with a wavy effect, not unlike a filter one might find in a digital image manipulation program. Also on view are a number of still-lifes, which integrate aspects of Gray’s exploration of digital imagery and visual effects in more formal compositions.
Park Life Gallery hosts an opening reception Friday, April 10, from 6–9 pm.
