November 4, swissnex San Francisco opens Re:Dada, the inaugural exhibition for its new gallery space at Pier 17. Re:Dada is the result of a collaboration between swissnex San Francisco and Dock18 in Zurich, where the Dada movement originated approximately 100 years ago. Re:Dada is a project including the physical exhibition at swissnex San Francisco, an online platform developed by Dock18 where visitors can manipulate original Dada works and materials, and a related trading card system. The artists included in the Re:Dada exhibition present remixed versions of Dada artworks, supplemented and transformed by contemporary technologies and subjects.

At the reception on November 4, Swiss artists Adolph Gurkenhofer, W3rkh0f Media Arts, and Claude Winterber will present performances and participatory events. The evening will also include talks and conversations: more information about opening night events is available on the swissnex San Francisco website. Re:Dada is organized in conjunction with the Dada World Fair, a city-wide event presented by City Lights Booksellers and Publishers.
