TAKIS

Saturday, May 9–Saturday, May 30, 2015

Opening Reception: May 9, 2015 6:00-9:00pm

A very special opportunity to view a selection of rare Takis works. Recent 2015 solo exhibitions include Champes Magnetiques at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, and Takis: The Fourth Dimension at the Menil Collection, Huston.

“Takis is world renowned for his investigations of the gap between art and science. Since the early 1950s, he has explored new aesthetic territories, creating three-dimensional works of art that incorporate invisible energies as a fourth, active element. Takis, who describes himself as an ‘instinctive scientist,’ employs powerful, elemental forces to generate the forms, movements, and musical sounds of both static and kinetic works.”
