Opening June 9th is the last show at George Lawson Gallery in Los Angeles.  The Culver City gallery will close to consolidate their efforts back in San Francisco at the Sutter Street space.  The exhibtion is one week only and will be open June 9th until June 15th.  The opening reception for the artists Sunday, June 9, 5:00–9:00pm.

The exhibition will consist of new work on paper by gallery artist Sara Bright and ceramic work by her partner, Andy Byers. Their collaboration in art was conceived as an expression of the nature of their collaboration in life: in a word, celebratory. The work is musical, rhythmic, reiterative, and owes a great deal to dance, and the rituals of magic.

“As much as I personally am enthralled with the energy of Los Angeles, the effort of traveling back and forth between the two cities has proven too much for me, and I am going to try staying put in one place for awhile. We plan to maintain our presence in Southern California through the art fairs and our reciprocal relationships with partner galleries. All of us here at the gallery extend our heartfelt thanks to the community that has welcomed us here so warmly.”
