Join San Francisco Cinematheque for their third annual Art Auction and Benefit, tomorrow October 18th at The Center for New Music (55 Taylor Street (at Market) San Francisco CA 94102).  The auction and benefit is in celebration and support of Cinematheque’s 52nd year of exhibiting cutting-edge avant-garde film/video art! Over 40 international and regional artists have contributed artworks to the auction’s spectacular exhibition of drawings, paintings, photography, collage and multi-media installations. This year, Cinematheque has teamed up with Paddle8 to preview available works and allow advance bidding. The auction is already on view online.  Visit Paddle8 to view artwork on auction.

Founded in 1961, San Francisco Cinematheque is the premier showcase of avant-garde and experimental film, video and multimedia performance in the US. Our mission is to make works of experimental film, video and multi-media performance a prominent part of the cultural landscape of the Bay Area and beyond. Cinematheque presents an average of 35 public programs annually at venues including Artists’ Television Access, The Exploratorium, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
