Now on view at Barbara Krakow Gallery, Equal Dimensions is a group exhibition designed around the chance presentation of German artist Erwin Heerich’s 1967 sculpture Untitled (cardboard sculpture). Accompanying works take rectilinear shapes as form and subject, utilizing drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, and sculpture in explorations of geometry and its influence on the formation and consideration of aesthetic values. Equal Dimensions includes work by Josef Albers, Richard Artschwager, Robert Barry, Mel Bochner, Peter Downsbrough, Erwin Heerich, Donald Judd, Sol LeWitt, Allan McCollum, Giulio Paolini, Liliana Porter, Stephen Prina, Kay Rosen, Robert Ryman, and Fred Sandback.
