November 18, 2016 – March 19, 2017

Now on view at the Pérez Art Museum Miami, Form into Action is the first solo museum exhibition in North America of work by artist Julio Le Parc (b. 1928, Mendoza, Argentina). Le Parc’s focus in his nearly sixty year career as an artist has been producing participatory kinetic art. Form into Action includes 100 works created between 1958 and 2013, and is guest curated by Estrellita B. Brodsky, a collector and curator. Le Parc has insisted on a minimum of signage throughout the exhibition; “He wants to clear away all the structures and systems which come between a work of art and the viewer,” says Brodsky, “so they result in a direct unmediated connection.” Form into Action includes a number of large-scale installations, as well as rarely seen works on paper and other materials.
