Opening tonight is Graham Gillmore’s first solo exhibition at Gallery 16, San Francisco. Gillmore is a Canadian painter and is known for his text based works that involve a lot of laborious techniques using resign, which he then carves into exposing the layers beneath, playing with depth and the materiality of his chosen medium. His paintings can be found in private, corporate and public collections around the world, including The Museum Of Modern Art in New York City, The Ghent Museum, Belgium, the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art, Toronto.
