Opening Saturday, March 1 at Jancar Jones Gallery, Los Angeles is “MPG GUI” a solo exhibition of new work by Michael Guidetti. The show will include three large pigment prints made from computer-generated scenes, each with an adjacent projected animation transmitted from within each respective scene. In this new body of work Guidetti continues to examine and adjust how the relationship between material and immaterial subjects and the conflation of psychic and physical reality can affect environmental perception. By using both video and still representations side-by-side, Guidetti expands the scope of the scene’s internal reality and establishes a more nuanced reading of the picture.
Opening Reception: Saturday, March 1, 2014. 6-9pm.
“MPG GUI” is on view through April 12, 2014.
