February 5, the Material Art Fair opens in Mexico City for its second edition. An impressive development upon last year’s inaugural event, the fair has added a number of exciting names to its list of exhibitors. Featuring work from 40 galleries, the Material Art Fair also hosts How Far is Near, a public program of conferences organized by Triple Canopy, and Sand in the Vaseline, a series of video screenings organized by curator Anna Gritz. A full schedule of performances, screenings, and conversations can be found on the fair’s website.

The Material Art Fair begins with a public opening on Thursday, February 5, from 6–10 pm.
