ODC Theater Presents “Walking Distance Dance Festival – SF” beginning May 31st through June 1, 2013. This dance festival is their annual program taking place at the ODC Campus – ODC Theater & ODC Dance Commons in the Mission District of San Francisco. For those who haven’t had a chance to see what ODC offers, this is a great opportunity to get acquainted. Through the weekend ODC’s annual fringe-style festival will have samplings of contemporary dance from around the nation. Each double bill offers a provocative pairing curated to spark conversation. Whether it’s raw physicality, cinematic tableaus, or unexpected props, each performance is certain to offer the ephemeral, visceral thrills that only live dance can provide. The programming showcases many of the artists’ most celebrated works, offering a second chance to see a hot ticket or a perfect first taste of a choreographer who’s new to you. Join us for a weekend of dance, zipping back and forth between shows and enjoying conversation with fellow arts enthusiasts. Below is the schedule of programming at this years dance festival.
