Friday, July 18, Kunstsaele Berlin opens “Actions (1969 – 2014),” the first German overview exhibition of work by San Francisco-based artist Tom Marioni, a true force in the history and development of conceptual practice. Marioni, founder of San Francisco’s Museum of Conceptual Art, produces objects and scenarios that expose and expand the perceived boundaries of art objects and cultural institutions. Curated by Marc Glode, the exhibition at Kunstsaele Berlin features drawings, videos, and ephemera, as well as “Drinking Beer with Friends is the Highest Form of Art,” a signature social artwork, and a number of site-specific wall drawings.

The museum hosts an opening reception Friday, July 18 from 7 – 9 pm.
